At present students can be admitted only to two specialities of our School – English Language and Literature and Broadcast Journalism. But in reality, the choice for students is wide enough. From the second year, students of the speciality of English language and literature can choose the academic programme of a translator-reviewer. Students of the speciality of broadcast journalism can simultaneously master press journalism, English language, PR, business and other fields. Besides, students can be involved in integrated international programmes.
Sophio Zadikashvili and Tsitsino Adamashvili passed one-year course at the Nottingham Trent University and received diplomas. The journalism student Irakli Kvernadze passed two international programmes – at the University of Georgia and at Cambridge International College. At the same time he is actively involved in research projects.
Alexandre (Sasha) Koridze won a Grand Prix for the film “Brazil” at Student Film Festival. It is very important for the School that English Professor Trevor Cartledge is among its academic personnel. He not only delivers very interesting lectures, but is actively involved in the activities of the School.
The main mission of the School is to prepare competitive specialists. If we judge according to the statistics of the employment of graduates, the academic and teacher’s personnel of the School succeed in fulfilling this mission.
