It seems that my daughter was right!
I have heard a lot about Grugil Robakidze University Creative TV Studio and its head Temur Paperashvili from my elder daughter. I have to admit that considering my daughter’s critical character, I was surprised with her high estimation and enthusiasm.
I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the theoretical and practical work of this studio and I was convinced that my daughter was absolutely right in her estimation.
I think it’d be better if the majority of current TV Channels have such theoretical base and creative process. Vividly expressed individualism, thinking, vision, distinct position, values, conception, different kinds of professional skills, perfect montage, tasteful musical editing, enthusiasm, and even minimalism of youth – everything this is reflected in students’ works.
Crucial social problems built on contract, blind children’s school, women’s prison, “mass culture” and its bifurcation, sketches of night Tbilisi, self-satisfaction, a portrait of a politician full of narcissism, a portrait of Shio Mgvimeli’s virtuous old daughter, Lazi singer living in Turkey, beggars in Tbilisi streets, hard reality of a night’s freight train – these are part of those topics that each student saw in his/her own way, analyzes and presented.
All these short TV programmes provoking different emotions are full of such analysis that is so rare nowadays. I am firmly convinced that every leading TV channel will be proud of the majority of these works.
