Within the Higher Educational Institutions of Georgia, only Grigol Robakidze University has a fully functional TV Studio Office, which is equipped with the most modern studio facilities, for example montage techniques and five video cameras. The TV Creative Studio was established on the basis of this Studio Office, which is also the first precedent in the history of preparation of Georgian journalists. The Head of the TV Creative Studio is Professor Teimuraz Paperashvili. This studio trains author-journalists, producers, operators, scriptwriters. One can see here a creative atmosphere, where the relationship between a teacher and a student reaches a level of closeness and teamwork which is rarely achieved in traditional teaching. It helps to bring out each student's maximum, creative potential. Students are taught not only to identify and solve the necessary problems of the program itself including the creative technology for the program preparation, but it also forms the public, cultural art of speech in future journalists. For this purpose, special studies are equipped and used to pay great care and special attention to the relationship between the TV apparatus and its utilization.

 

Students write scripts themselves for their programs, make films and also make montages and once a month their work is discussed publicly. To this meeting, students from different institutions and well-known journalists are also invited. Successful programs are shown on the State TV network, which Grigol Robakidze University hires for half an hour every month.

 

Every week the Studio arranges public discussions on different themes to which famous people are invited.  For example the Chief Editor of the Central Governmental Newspaper Mr. Armaz Saneblidze, the Chair of the Language Department of Georgia Mr. Levan Gvinjilia, the famous TV reporter George Machabeli, popular poets Kote Kubaneishvili, Rati Amaglobeli, the Chief Editor of the magazine "Image" have all visited the Studio. It is important to mention that very friendly relations and partnerships have been established with the editorial board of this magazine, "Image".

 

Every year TV Creative Studio publishes its creative works and arranges exhibitions of its own photographic work.
